DEXTER DINING ROOM BY AMY LAU!

One of my all time favorite shows has been the inspiration for one of the many rooms in a $25 million dollar mansion that is up for sale. The rooms in the mansion have been transformed to showcase the visual elements and ambiance of shows such as The Tudors, Californication, Weeds, L Word, and of course DEXTER! The Dexter makeover was done in the dining room and the kitchen, but I think it is most effective in the dining room. Lau used the classic Dexter imagery of stark white against blood red and filled the room with beautiful, mysterious pieces while succesfully keeping a feeling of hidden violence in the room. I think my take on it would have been gorier but this keeps it within the comfort zone of those who may not be as familiar with the show. I think she did an amazing job and the whole concept is interesting and entertaining. I especially love the combination of the dinnerware with the blood vials, but no saran wrap? The custom made chandelier is a beautiful piece in itself and was created using wineglasses dipped in white vinyl and glued together with rope and cables. For more pics click here!

PETA Lets You Dress The Olsen Twins!

PETA is giving themselves a Halloween makeover, which includes their version of a scary "Meet the Trollsen Twins."

"Some say that Hairy-Kate and Trashley are guilty of offending their fans with some major fashion boo-boos, but here at peta2, we think that's the understatement of the year! The twins' heartless decision to wear fur and include it in their new fashion line, The Row (more like "Death Row"), is worse than a fashion no-no—it's cruelty to animals. The Trollsens have ignored our pleas to stop wearing fur—and have since added horribly ugly fur items to their new clothing line. It's obvious that we need your help to convince them that wearing fur is wrong and hideous!"

Enter "Meet the Trollsen Twins." As you can see, I tried to dress my Trashley in almost every animal pelt they would allow. It is pretty funny and amusing. But effective?
